Household Insurance

Essentially, a Houseowner/Householders insurance policy compensates the insured for property loss or damage caused by fire, lightning, earthquake, impact, flood, storm, water leakage from apparatus and pipes, riot, strike, and theft or attempted theft. It is an annual policy that lasts twelve months and is renewable on an annual basis.

The policy, on the other hand, can take one of two forms: This policy protects the owner or landlord against loss or damage to the building(s), fixtures, and fittings caused by fire, lightning, earthquake, impact, flood, storm, water leakage from apparatus and pipes, riot, strike, and theft or attempted theft.

This policy may also cover the owner's possessions (home items and personal things) if he lives in the building. Householder Insurance Policy - Because he is not the owner of the building, this policy covers the tenant/occupant against loss or damage to the insured's possessions and personal effects in the event of the disaster indicated above.
